The Holy Triad

Twelve bodies are found in several mid-eastern countries. Each is missing their hands and their identities are unknown. First suspecting a serial killer, it becomes apparent it is something even more sinister. A new agency, APTA, the Agency for the Prevention of Terrorism in America, is notified of the findings when the pieces of a confusing puzzle point to an elaborate scheme to infiltrate the borders of the United States using passports stolen from the victims. But, why and for what purpose? APTA assigns its best agent, James Link, to head the investigation. All information points to an unexpected and strange alliance of terrorist groups located within Iran, Iraq and Syria. His investigation takes him around the country where he discovers dissident militia groups sympathetic to the terrorists. They too have a plan and meet with them to become part of the alliance. Link discovers that three attacks are planned on US soil. He learns that something big will happen after the first of the year, but clues point in a myriad of directions only adding to the confusion. He knows his time is quickly running out.

The Yucca Mountain Conspiracy

The United States is in imminent danger of losing its prestige as a player in international affairs. It begins innocently with a plan to ship and to store nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. The waste is piling up around the country, and nearing critical mass, and something must be done to eliminate its catastrophic potential. A new agency APTA, the Agency for the Prevention of Terrorism in America, uncovers a plot to steal a shipment of waste for some sinister use and assigns its best agent Jim Link and his team to prevent the theft. He soon discovers a secondary plan involving Iran. An Iranian nuclear physicist, held prisoner at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, offers to take a team deep into his country to show APTA something he states, "will change the dynamic of the free world forever." His price-his freedom. Israel learns of the mission and assigns an agent of the Mossad to accompany the team into Iran. Link feels something is amiss and clues point in a myriad of directions. The President assembles the Joint Chiefs of Staff to discuss his military options both domestically and internationally. He instructs the Joint Chiefs to prepare a plan for war. Patience is wearing thin and war is imminent.

But was he captured or did he give himself up as part of some master plan. APTA, the Agency for the Prevention of Terrorism in America is called in to make sense of several confusing events: the kidnapping of the President's son, the Iranian's move to block the Strait of Hormuz, and the launching of Soviet subs from a mothballed fleet in the Kara Sea. Special agent James Link and his team of Ted Mels, Stan Harding and wheel chair bound weapons guru, Stuart Bays, search for clues eventually taking them into Iraq where they discover a plot to assassinate the President of the United States. Can they stop the plan before it is executed? Time is of the essence in this intense internationall thriller.
